I watched Ohio State this week-end play basketball and I must say, the Value City Arena is perhaps the worst arena in College Basketball. Ohio State puts the students in the top bleachers where they can't be heard, and all the people in the lower bowl are cooperate golf clappers.

Well, we got beat-up in football, and we keep loosing to good teams in basketball… A few observations:
Football - 53-days=rust, no Ginn, poor offensive line play, too many tearful speeches by the QB, where was the hunger?
Basketball - Oden & team not in sync, too many turn-overs, poor shot selection, poor defense.

So far the Big Ten is 0-3 in bowl games and makes a run today to even out their record. The SEC on the other-hand is 3-1. Today we have 2 head-to-head match-ups between the two conferences, am I optimistic? No.

I guess after yesterday's defeat at the hands of Florida, the basketball team appears to have a long way to go. I just hope they learn from it so that come March they are ready. I just hope our football team beats them by more than the 26 points they beat our basketball team by.
