XP Hangs after update…

This is just for all those people Googling for a solution to your PC hanging in safe-mode on btkrnl.sys, here's a solution:

1.Restarted windows on "last known good configuration".

2. Removed Widcomm Blutooth drivers (I never used Bluetooth).

3. Removed VMWare Player

4. Reboot

Now I have a happy PC.

Linux Stuff, Better News…

Well, I have been working with various Linux systems over the past few months and things are getting better. Maybe it's the fact that I am using Fedora and the documentation is more plentiful… So right now I am sticking with Red Hat (currently FC6). I will post some stuff on my technical blog codegin.com later…

Hello Yzerfontein…

Dear Yzerfontein,

It's been about 16 months and you were sorely missed. In this time we have purchased a new home, sold and old one, quit our jobs, and gotten fat and pale…

We will be back soon to see you. Thanks mom for watching the house and Castle.

Keyboards Continued…

I found what I was looking for… Logitech OEM, but it will still take a few days to get here…

What else? Well, our downstairs bathroom's PIPE's froze. So the toilet started to backup and the HOT water would not work. So we started pouring hot water down the shower drain and that started to help. I just hope it gets warmer SOON!!! This 0 degree stuff is getting old fast…

All the keyboards today suck!

I just went to look for a new keyboard. I have a Logitech G15 and while it's a nice keyboard, it has too big of a footprint, pus it still has a cable. So I went to MicroCenter today to see if they had other keyboards, one where the delete key is in the normal spot and one where the function keys exist, but wireless… Nothing…They can't they create a keybaord like the old IBM 104, but wireless?

Sold House!!!

Well, after ten and a half long months we sold our LeClerc house. Thanks again to Chip and Sue for being great realtors in a market and side of town that made things very difficult. Looking we should have neutralized the house colors, and lowered the price a bit, but who knows, we had an offer after a few months and were in contract, but things fell apart… Good luck to the new owners!

p.s. As much as I love my new house I will always miss the basement at LeClerc.
